A month later, I am even happier with how the piece works in our reading corner. I was aiming for a room that felt collected rather than decorated all at once, and the result feels natural instead of staged. The overall effect in our reading corner is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.

As part of the everyday room, the piece has been easy to work into this room because the overall design does not feel fussy. I was unsure about the overall effect at first, but after living with it, I like the direction.

To my eye in the living room, the piece fits the pace of everyday life in the space better than I expected. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
