The Tom Rossau TR747 pendant, also known as “Come Fly with Me” is constructed from 32 hand folded birch veneer planes. The paper plane is one of the most iconic elements from the childhood, and Tom Rossau was inspired by memories playing as a child with paper planes, with his grandfather in the living room. The planes are flying around the light source in a playful way creating a sphere. Resulting in a warm and beautiful illumination of the wings of the planes.

Friday busy takeout night is a surprisingly good test of how naturally this pendant light fits the kitchen area. It works just as naturally on a rushed weekday as it does when we have people over. The room makes more sense as a whole now. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.

Sunday unhurried weekend brunch is when this pendant light feels most at home in the main room. It has been part of quiet mornings, busy evenings, and normal life. The everyday routine has been a better test than any first impression.

Tuesday ordinary weekend brunch is a surprisingly good test of how naturally this pendant light fits the room. It works with the rest of the room instead of competing with it. The space feels more complete while still feeling like our home. I am glad we chose something that fits the way we actually live.
