I ended up choosing this chandelier to bring the room together without changing everything else, and the room feels calmer now. I needed a few days to get used to the room with it there, but that hesitation passed quickly. The room feels finished but still relaxed. The room needed a minor adjustment around it, which was more about our layout than the light.

Friday rainy guest prep is a surprisingly good test of how naturally this chandelier fits the dining room. It works with the rest of the room instead of competing with it. It has been easy to live with on ordinary days.
