Sligh Studio Designs is a unique assortment of consoles and desks comprised of an exceptional array of design and custom finishes.
The concept behind the TV consoles was to create a collection through which we could design distinctive pieces that highlight furniture as the room's statement piece rather than the electronic equipment.

The desks blend the form and fucntion for which Sligh is known, with an inspiring dose of designer style and color.
Decorative metal bases feature polished stainless steel and antique brass.
Tops showcase red lacquer, rosewood, a custom parchment finish and sea mist faux Shagreen leather.
Maple veneers and select hardwoods finished in a soft dove gray with custom hardware in a polished stainless finish.

I kept the rest of the front room simple, and this console table gives the space just enough presence. I am glad I took the time to choose this console table.

Weeks later, the thing I notice most is how complete the front room feels with this console. The overall effect is polished but still comfortable.

I picked this console while finishing the house before the holidays, and it gave our hallway exactly the settled feeling I wanted. The overall effect feels considered without becoming precious. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. The piece adds definition, but the room still feels comfortable. I spent a lot of time comparing options and am glad I did not rush the decision. The room took one extra round of rearranging before I was completely happy with it.
