By a busy Saturday afternoon, the dining room looks more resolved with this chandelier in place. The room makes more sense as a whole now, which was the goal from the beginning. I like it most when the dining area is being lived in rather than perfectly styled.

Our main room made the most sense once friends stayed longer than planned after dinner; the whole setup held together naturally. The everyday routine has been a better test than any first impression. I like that the central part of the house feels finished while still looking lived in. I am glad we chose something that fits the way we actually live.
