I would choose this semi-flush ceiling light again, though my first idea for the dining area was not the one we kept. The space feels more complete while still feeling like our home. The room now feels considered without feeling staged. The room needed a minor adjustment around it, which was more about our layout than the light.

Our bedroom started feeling different once this semi-flush ceiling light was in place; my daughter was the first person to say the room felt more pulled together. My first impression was more cautious than my opinion after living with it for a while.

Monday ordinary morning routine is when this semi-flush ceiling light feels most at home in the living room.

Having people over changed my opinion more than the first day did; when a couple of friends stopped by unexpectedly, the update made more sense once the room was actually busy. Walking through the room every day made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one. It settled into the room more easily than I expected. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.
