Maitland Smith Map Writing Desk

When I look at our home office as a whole, a lot of furniture looks good by itself, but the desk also works with the rest of the room. I notice it without feeling like the whole room revolves around it. I was aiming for a calmer overall arrangement, and the rest of the furniture makes more sense around it. The end result in our home office feels like our home, only more finished.

From one side of our work room to the other, it is easy to appreciate the work table on an ordinary weekday because it feels so at home in the room.

From one side of my study to the other, I appreciate how this work table contributes to this room without competing with everything around it. It made the room feel purposeful without turning it into a corporate-looking space. It did not take long for the piece to feel like it belonged with everything else. This ended up being exactly the kind of update my study needed.
