Maitland Smith Bijou Accent Chair

From the first glance across my sitting area, this has become one of those pieces I stop noticing as new because it fits our routine so well. I was aiming for a more intentional room without a full redesign, and the room feels more settled. I would choose the same direction again for this space.

In our day-to-day setup, the funny part is that the person who questioned this choice most is now the one who compliments this chair. That is enough for me to feel very good about the purchase.

From the doorway into our sitting area, I was not looking for a dramatic change, yet this chair noticeably improved the way the room comes together. The best furniture choices for me are the ones that improve the whole room, and this one does.

Against what we already had, our routine did not have to change around this chair; it slid into the room naturally. The chair looks at home in the space even when the rest of the room is being used normally. This chair is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
