JC Modern Terra 90-Inch Oak Sideboard with Voilet Grey Straw Marquetry Doors

In the finished room, there is more cohesion in the space now, and it happened as soon as this sideboard went into place. I notice the difference most when we are using the room normally. From different parts of the living area, this sideboard still feels like it belongs with everything else. For me, that makes this sideboard one of the better choices we made for the living area.

With everything else left as it was, the furniture we keep long term is usually the furniture that disappears into our routine, and this credenza is already doing that.

My mother asked if we had redone the whole room when really this credenza was the main change. The compliments have been about the room as a whole, not just one object, which I like. I was aiming for something that felt at home rather than showy, and the space finally feels finished. The surrounding furniture feels less random now that this credenza is part of our main dining space. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.

With the rest of the room unchanged, the best sign is that this sideboard already feels like part of our regular routine in the space. The end result in our dining room feels like our home, only more finished.
