John Richard Mercia Credenza

Looking at the main dining space now, this credenza works just as well for a quiet evening as it does when the house is busy.

Instead of changing everything in our dining area, I added this piece, and that was enough.

Within my living area, I bought this sideboard for everyday life rather than for show, and that is exactly how it feels in the room. It gives the room direction while keeping the relaxed feeling we wanted. I was aiming for a more intentional room without a full redesign, and the room feels more settled. For me, that makes this sideboard one of the better choices we made for my living area.

I like that this credenza still feels right on an ordinary weekday, not just when the room is cleaned up for company. What surprised me was how natural it felt with pieces we already had, especially with the rest of our furniture around it. I was aiming for a calmer overall arrangement, and nothing around it had to change. This credenza is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
