John Richard Kano Nine-Drawer Sideboard

As part of my living area, I usually need time to warm up to new furniture, but the sideboard made sense in this room right away. I like how the sideboard gives my living area a clearer point of view without taking over. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. My living area feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.

In my dining room, this is not furniture we tiptoe around; this piece simply feels like part of the house now. I notice the difference most when we are using the room normally. The overall effect in my dining room is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. I would make the same decision for my dining room again.

For our living area, instead of changing everything in the room, I added this sideboard, and that was enough. The room feels collected rather than simply furnished. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. I am pleased with the decision and with how our living area came together.
