For the dining room, this credenza turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered. It gives the room direction while keeping the relaxed feeling we wanted. The overall effect feels considered without becoming precious. I would give it five stars if I had not spent so much time second-guessing the placement.

I like furniture that settles into a space instead of dominating it, and this piece does that in our main dining space. I would make the same decision for our main dining space again.

Within our main dining space, I had a hard time deciding what the room was missing, and this piece turned out to be the answer. I notice the difference most when we are using the room normally. I would choose the same direction again for this space.

This is not furniture we tiptoe around; the sideboard simply feels like part of the house now. I like that the sideboard works with what we already had in the dining area instead of making the rest of the room feel outdated. The room feels better prepared for both everyday meals and having people over. It gives the dining space a stronger sense of balance. It is distinct enough to notice and quiet enough to live with. The end result in the dining area feels like our home, only more finished.
