Modern, pared-down form language is brought to life through the unique materiality of Oaklyn. A vintage gold leaf trough houses an LED light source, which projects upwards through a handwoven Lampanakay rope shade. This thoughtful design allows light to diffuse through the shade, creating beautiful patterns on the ceiling. The coastal aesthetic is refined through the relationship between the organic fibers of the shade and the metalwork.

By a busy Friday evening, the gathering space feels more settled with this chandelier in place. I notice the improvement most when the dining area is being used normally rather than styled for company. Living with it through normal weeks made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one.

A calm Friday night is when I appreciate this chandelier most in the room. The central part of the house feels more welcoming now without taking over the room.

We picked this chandelier to make the space feel ready for both family and guests, and I am glad I kept coming back to this one. The room feels less unfinished now without turning formal. The best sign is that nobody in the house treats the dining room differently just because the update is finished. The main room feels better for having it there.
