Description

Imagine a bedroom where clutter is a thing of the past. The Monterey Storage Bed solves storage dilemmas with its four generously sized, sub-mounted drawers, keeping your linens, seasonal clothing, or books neatly out of sight. The drawers are thoughtfully designed for easy access, positioned higher off the floor than typical storage beds. Beyond its practicality, this bed is a testament to solid craftsmanship; made from beautiful solid cherry hardwood, it's built to last for generations, developing a richer patina over time. The Arts & Crafts styling with an Asian touch ensures it will complement a range of decor, from minimalist to more traditional. Pair it with crisp white bedding for a serene look, or rich textiles to emphasize its warm wood tones.

In the finished room, I kept the rest of the space simple, and the piece gives the space just enough presence. I wanted the room to feel finished without feeling formal, and this gets very close to that balance.

With our existing furniture around it, this was the piece that made this room stop feeling half-finished. I was aiming for a room that looked considered but not precious, and the room feels easier on the eye. Seeing the bed with the rest of my primary bedroom makes the whole arrangement feel more connected. I am glad I took the time to choose the bed.

Compared with the room before, I was not looking for a dramatic change, yet this piece noticeably improved the way this room comes together. The overall effect feels considered without becoming precious. Seeing this piece with the rest of my guest bedroom makes the whole arrangement feel more connected. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in my guest bedroom.
