I settled on this flush-mounted sconce to bring the space together without making it formal, and the space finally feels intentional. It has been easy to live with on ordinary days.

The bedroom still feels easy to live with with this flush-mounted sconce in place. The room needed a minor adjustment around it, which was more about our layout than the light. The wall no longer feels like the unfinished part of the room.

The biggest difference for me about this flush-mounted sconce is how much more complete the wall feels now. It feels just as natural during a rushed morning as it does when the house is quiet at night.
