Among the other furniture in my primary bedroom, the nicest part is how naturally the bedroom piece became part of our everyday use of this room. The room looks intentional without feeling arranged for a photo.

For the mood we wanted in my bedroom, I notice the bedroom piece most during the ordinary parts of the day, which is probably the best compliment I can give it. I am pleased with the decision and with how my bedroom came together.

In our bedroom, it is surprisingly hard to find furniture that feels distinct without feeling loud, and the bedroom piece gets that balance right. It did not take long for the piece to feel like it belonged with everything else. It changed the tone of the room more than any smaller update could have. It is distinct enough to notice and quiet enough to live with. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in our bedroom.
