Against what we already had, instead of changing everything in this room, I added this piece, and that was enough. I had to rearrange the surrounding furniture once before the setup felt right, which is the only reason I landed at four stars.

For my hallway, I wanted something we would enjoy every day, and the piece has become exactly that in the room.

When I look at my front room as a whole, living with this console day to day has made me appreciate the decision more, not less. I did not need to change the rest of my front room for this console to make sense there. The best furniture choices for me are the ones that improve the whole room, and this one does. Walking past it every day, I like the room more than I did before. The room took one extra round of rearranging before I was completely happy with it.
