Looking at the guest bedroom now, instead of changing everything in the space, I added this piece, and that was enough. There is character here, but not so much that the space feels busy. I was hoping this piece would pull the guest bedroom together, and it did that without making the space feel overly coordinated. The overall effect in the guest bedroom is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. The best part for me is that the guest bedroom still feels relaxed even with this piece giving it more structure. I am pleased with the decision and with how the guest bedroom came together.

A month later, I am even happier with how this piece works in the bedroom. What surprised me was how quickly it stopped feeling like a new addition, especially when everything is not perfectly styled.

Looking at the bedroom now, I was aiming for understated, and this piece landed in the right place visually.
