Instead of making the room busier, this dining room piece gave the breakfast room a clearer sense of purpose. Nothing about it feels fussy in day-to-day use.

I bought it for the room beside the kitchen, but I appreciate it most during dinner because the space just works better. I was on the fence for the first day or two, and then it started to feel completely natural in the space.

At the end of a long day, the dining room feels especially comfortable with this buffet in place. It feels appropriate for real life, not just for a styled photo. It has been a solid addition to the room.

After rearranging the space, the buffet ended up being the piece that made the dining room finally feel right. I needed a few days to get used to its presence in the room, and I like it much more now.
