Nothing about this dining chair feels forced in the dining room; it simply makes the arrangement look more intentional. The overall effect in the dining room is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. The dining room feels more finished during everyday meals. I would choose the same direction again for this space.

Looking at the dining area now, I had been overthinking this part of this room; this dining chair solved the visual problem more simply than I expected. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in the dining area.

I picked the piece while finishing the house before the holidays, and it gave our dining area exactly the settled feeling I wanted. The room feels more complete without becoming too formal.
