Sligh Richmond Hill Wesley Desk

As the room stands now, family came over recently, and this work table ended up getting more compliments than anything else in this room. It is always a good sign when people notice a change without the room feeling showy. I can change smaller things around this work table without feeling like the whole plan for our work room has to change. The end result in our work room feels like our home, only more finished.

In our day-to-day setup, the best part is that this work table looks intentional in this room without asking for all the attention. The surrounding furniture feels less random now that this work table is part of our work room. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our work room needed.

Against what we already had, on a normal day, this desk feels like it has always belonged in the space. I wish I had planned the surrounding pieces around it sooner; once I did, the room made more sense.
