Sligh Greystone Avery Executive Desk

Of everything I changed in my study, the desk made the most immediate visual difference. What surprised me was how easy it was to keep the room feeling relaxed around it, especially when everything is not perfectly styled.

In our day-to-day setup, I like furniture that settles into a space instead of dominating it, and this desk does that in the space. I notice it without feeling like the whole room revolves around it. I appreciate it most on long workdays when the room is in constant use. I was unsure about the overall effect at first, but after living with it, I like the direction.

As part of our work corner, I kept the rest of the space simple, and the work table gives the space just enough presence.

As part of our home office, the room feels less temporary with the desk in it.
