Aberdeen 90" Tawny Sideboard

As part of the everyday room, I was trying to keep this room comfortable rather than overly styled, and this credenza fits that goal. It ended up being a stronger finishing touch than I expected. This credenza is a choice I am happy to keep living with.

From the doorway into our living area, I wanted the house to feel lived in rather than staged, and the credenza works well with that idea. The change is subtle on its own but noticeable in the room as a whole. I like how the credenza gives our living area a clearer point of view without taking over. I was aiming for a calmer overall arrangement, and the rest of the furniture makes more sense around it. Our living area feels better as a whole, which matters more to me than any single detail.

From the first glance across my living area, the scale of the room feels better to my eye now that the credenza is part of the arrangement. What surprised me was how much the surrounding furniture benefited visually, especially when the room is being used normally. I am pleased with the decision and with how my living area came together.

The sideboard changed our main dining space more than I pictured, and after a little adjustment, I am glad we kept the arrangement.
