To my eye in our hallway, my mother asked if we had redone the whole room when really this piece was the main change. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. I would make the same decision for our hallway again.

I was trying to keep our living area comfortable rather than overly styled, and this piece fits that goal. What surprised me was how well it worked in everyday life instead of only looking good on its own, especially once the smaller decor went back into the room.
