Our main gathering area made the most sense once we hosted a small gathering; the update made more sense once the room was full of people. The 3-light configuration was one of the few specific details I had in mind from the start.

By ordinary weekend brunch, this linear pendant feels completely normal in the main gathering area. I had already decided I wanted a 3-light version, so that detail helped narrow the choice. I like it most when the room is being lived in rather than perfectly styled. I would make the same choice again for this room.

One of the best signs that this linear pendant fits our kitchen area is that my dad started using that part of the room more naturally. It works just as naturally on a rushed weekday as it does when we have people over. The everyday routine has been a better test than any first impression.
