Monday busy cleanup is when this wall sconce feels most at home in the upstairs landing. The overall setup feels intentional without becoming precious. I like it most when the room is being lived in rather than perfectly styled.

Having people over changed my opinion more than the first day did; when relatives stayed over for a few days, the space felt much more welcoming.
