Tuesday guest prep made me realize this linear pendant had already become part of the longer part of the room. The 5-light configuration was one of the few specific details I had in mind from the start.

When it is everyone sitting down together, the space over the table makes more sense as a whole with this linear pendant in place.

During end of a long day, this pendant light feels especially natural in the dining area.

By Friday morning, this pendant light feels completely at home in the kitchen area. The overall setup feels considered now, but the breakfast area still feels relaxed. When friends are over, this pendant light simply feels like part of the part of the room we use every day. I would make the same choice again for this kitchen area.
