By a busy Sunday evening, the gathering space feels more welcoming with this chandelier in place. I notice the improvement most when the room is being used normally rather than styled for company. The best sign is that nobody in the house treats the room differently just because the update is finished. I second-guessed the layout at first, but the dining area feels natural now.

Our dining room made the most sense once a couple of friends stopped by unexpectedly; the room still felt relaxed with everyone there. I had already decided I wanted a 8-light version, so that detail helped narrow the choice.
