Maitland Smith Piazza San Marco Arm Chair (PSM66-1)

In the sitting area, this has become one of those pieces I stop noticing as new because it fits our routine so well.

One addition made our reading corner feel much less pieced together, and it was this seat. It has become one of the seats people naturally gravitate toward. It gives the room a place to pause without making the arrangement feel crowded. I spent a lot of time comparing options and am glad I did not rush the decision. I had to rearrange the surrounding furniture once before the setup felt right, which is the only reason I landed at four stars.

As part of our sitting area, everyone in the house had an opinion when I chose this piece, and now nobody wants me to change it. Nobody treats the room like a showroom, and the piece still looks right in real life. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in our sitting area.

There is something nice about furniture that makes my sitting area feel better without changing how you live in it.
