Maitland Smith Grand Traditions Dining Table (GRT21)

For our dining room, I notice the table most during the ordinary parts of the day, which is probably the best compliment I can give it.

Looking at my main dining space now, nothing about daily life in the space feels rearranged around the table, and I like that.

I chose the table because I liked it, but the fact that everyone else responded well was a nice bonus. It brings a little more structure to the room without making the arrangement feel rigid. The room feels more finished, but not more formal, and that balance matters to me. Meals feel a little more special without the room becoming formal. It has made everyday meals feel more connected to the rest of the room. I needed a little time to see how it fit with everything else, and now I am glad I kept the arrangement.

The more we use our dining area, the more natural this dining table feels there. It is slightly more noticeable in the room than I expected, though not in a way I regret.
