By quiet breakfast, this pendant light feels completely normal in the dining area.

Tuesday calm dinner prep is when this pendant light feels most at home in the main room. It has quietly become part of the way the room feels at the end of the day. I like it most when the room is being lived in rather than perfectly styled. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.

Having people over changed my opinion more than the first day did; when a couple of friends stopped by unexpectedly, the room felt ready without extra styling. The 4-light configuration was one of the few specific details I had in mind from the start.
