Within the living area, I bought this piece for everyday life rather than for show, and that is exactly how it feels in the space.

The furniture we keep long term is usually the furniture that disappears into our routine, and the chest is already doing that. I can change smaller decor around it without feeling like the room has to start over. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.

In the living area, a lot of furniture looks good by itself, but this chest also works with the rest of this room. I was aiming for a change that would not force us to replace everything else, and this ended up being the right direction. This chest is a choice I am happy to keep living with.
