John Richard Vallejo Console Table

Several weeks later, this console has settled into our entryway exactly the way I hoped. It has enough presence to matter, but the room still has breathing space. What surprised me is how much better the whole room reads with one thoughtful addition. I am happy with the balance we ended up with in our entryway.

The best part is that this console looks intentional in my front room without asking for all the attention. From different parts of my front room, this console still feels like it belongs with everything else. It gives the room direction while keeping the relaxed feeling we wanted. The end result in my front room feels like our home, only more finished.

This was the piece that made my front room stop feeling half-finished. It makes the entry into the room feel more considered. What surprised me was how easy it was to keep the room feeling relaxed around it, especially on a quiet weekday. I would make the same decision for my front room again.
