John Richard Staccato Console Table, Large

Our routine did not have to change around this console; it slid into my front room naturally. I was aiming for a room that looked considered but not precious, and the overall setup now feels much more coherent. This ended up being exactly the kind of update my front room needed.

I bought the piece for everyday life rather than for show, and that is exactly how it feels in our front room. I notice it without feeling like the whole room revolves around it. What surprised me was how much more intentional the room felt from the doorway, especially once the smaller decor went back into the room. I can change smaller things around the piece without feeling like the whole plan for our front room has to change. This ended up being exactly the kind of update our front room needed.

My partner was less sure about this piece than I was, but now we both agree it works in our hallway. I was aiming for a room that felt collected rather than decorated all at once, and the room finally has that balance. I am glad I took the time to choose this piece.

For our hallway, my parents stayed with us recently and commented on how much more finished the space feels now.
