John Richard Plateau Cocktail Table, Gold

For this part of the house, I was trying to keep the space comfortable rather than overly styled, and this piece fits that goal. What surprised me is how much better the whole room reads with one thoughtful addition. It gives the seating area a clear center without making the room feel formal. The whole sofa area looks more connected now. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.

I like this most when the house is quiet and the sitting room is just being used normally. The whole sofa area looks more connected now. I went back and forth on where it belonged before everything clicked.

Compared with the room before, our guests do not necessarily know what changed, but they keep saying this room feels better since this table went in. The room took one extra round of rearranging before I was completely happy with it.

Here in our sitting room, the balance in the room changed for the better once this piece was there. There is character here, but not so much that the space feels busy. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.
