For our main dining space, the best part is that this piece looks intentional in the room without asking for all the attention. The room took one extra round of rearranging before I was completely happy with it.

In our day-to-day setup, the balance in this room changed for the better once this sideboard was there. I notice it without feeling like the whole room revolves around it. I was aiming for something that would work with what we already owned, and the room feels easier on the eye. I would choose the same direction again for this space.
