John Richard Burin Armchair

In our reading corner, the funny part is that the person who questioned this choice most is now the one who compliments this piece. What surprised me was how much more intentional the room felt from the doorway, especially during the ordinary parts of the week. The overall effect in our reading corner is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. The look has a little more visual presence than I pictured, but it ended up working for the room.

My partner was less sure about this piece than I was, but now we both agree it works in our reading corner. What surprised me was how much more intentional the room felt from the doorway, especially when everything is not perfectly styled. I was aiming for a room that felt collected over time rather than decorated all at once. The end result in our reading corner feels like our home, only more finished.
