John Richard Achates Cocktail Table

Even with the rest of our family room unchanged, this coffee table made the setup feel more complete.

As part of the family room, the balance in this room changed for the better once this coffee table was there. It works with what we already owned, so I did not feel like I had to rethink everything around it.

In our family room, I bought this table for everyday life rather than for show, and that is exactly how it feels in the room. I was aiming for a piece that would add presence without taking over, and the space finally feels finished. I spent more time than expected deciding on the placement, though I am happy with it now.

As part of our living room, this has become one of those pieces I stop noticing as new because it fits our routine so well. The change is subtle on its own but noticeable in the room as a whole. I was unsure about the overall effect at first, but after living with it, I like the direction.
