A contemporary reinterpretation of grand-scale vintage glass chandeliers, the Tappan family creates a gleaming focal point overhead. Soft Blonchino piastra glass elements are gently curved and suspended in layered tiers, creating a cascading composition that descends from a Vintage Gold Leaf ring. Vertical white striations enhance the design while softening the diffusion of light as it shines through the panels. Available with 5-, 13-, and 21- lights, Tappan’s organic modernism refreshes any space.

A quiet Thursday morning is when I appreciate this chandelier most in the dining room. I like that the dining area feels finished while still looking lived in. On weekends, I notice it most when the dining area stays busy a little longer than usual.

For us, Friday night is when this chandelier feels most natural in the central part of the house. It has already been part of weeknight dinners, ordinary mornings, and plenty of ordinary days. Living with it through normal weeks made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one. It feels like a change that made everyday life in the dining room better.

I kept coming back to this chandelier to give the space a clearer focal point, and it worked into everyday life more easily than I expected. It has already been part of slow weekends, takeout nights, and plenty of ordinary days.

By a rainy Friday afternoon, the space where everyone gathers feels less unfinished with this chandelier in place.
