Tuesday ordinary takeout night is when this pendant light feels most at home in the kitchen area. It works just as naturally on a rushed weekday as it does when we have people over.

Ordinary Wednesday mornings are when this pendant light feels least like a new purchase in the corner we use every day. The longer it is here, the less I think of it as a new purchase.

Having people over changed my opinion more than the first day did; when we hosted a small gathering, the whole setup held together naturally. The overall setup feels intentional without becoming precious. The room feels finished but still relaxed. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.
