The Shadow Box tall outdoor sconce is inspired by contemporary architecture according to designer David Martin. Its sensual minimalism is accentuated by the dramatic lighting created by its aluminum frame. All Hubbardton Forge products are hand-crafted to last one at a time in Vermont and backed by a lifetime limited warranty. The dark sky friendly version allows us to truly appreciate the night sky's constellations by impeding uplight and directing the light downward.

The side entrance still feels easy to live with with this outdoor wall light in place. I needed a few days to get used to the room with it there, but that hesitation passed quickly. Walking past it every day made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one. The room needed a minor adjustment around it, which was more about our layout than the light.

Our front entry made the most sense once friends came over one evening; the update made more sense once the house was actually busy.

This outdoor wall light works well for us, but I did rethink the covered outdoor area once before everything felt balanced. The 2-light configuration was one of the few specific details I had in mind from the start. It settled into the room more easily than I expected. My first impression was more cautious than my opinion after living with it for a while.
