Like the ancient flow of a silk sleeve to block the sword of an aggressor, the movement and flow of the Zen Pendant's wide steel swirl is mesmerizing. The hand-forged and textured steel glows from the lights within, allowing them to play across the hand-shaped metal's interior surface. The work of Vermont artisans is palpable in this stunning and substantial piece.

Our corner we use every day started feeling different once this pendant light was in place; our kids started using that part of the room more naturally. It has been easy to live with on ordinary days. The longer it is here, the less I think of it as a new purchase.

During an ordinary weekday, this pendant light feels especially natural in the dining area. The 6-light configuration was one of the few specific details I had in mind from the start.

Rainy Monday mornings are when this pendant light feels least like a new purchase in the small eating area. I had already decided I wanted a 6-light version, so that detail helped narrow the choice.
