It is easy to forget this buffet is new because it already feels completely at home in the room beside the kitchen.

For ordinary weekdays, this sideboard has made the dining room feel easier and more finished. Nothing about it feels fussy in day-to-day use. It has been a solid addition to the room.

Our dining room looks more considered with this sideboard, but it still feels comfortable and lived in. I was looking for a change I would notice every day, and this has been exactly that. It works nicely when we have people over. The piece has a nice presence in person, but it does not make the rest of the room feel secondary. It felt a bit more noticeable than I expected at first, but the room settled around it quickly.

Even on busy days, the dining room piece makes the room beside the kitchen feel a little more put together. We did not need to change anything else around it for the space to work. It made the room feel more pulled together. It has already been part of a few ordinary days and a couple of times when friends came over. I was trying to make the room feel edited rather than full, and this helped achieve that. I would make the same choice again.
