Our upstairs landing made the most sense once friends came over one evening; the space felt much more welcoming. Walking past it every day made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one. When friends are over, it simply feels like part of the room.

The small sitting area feels less unfinished with this wall sconce in place. It works with the rest of the room instead of competing with it. The longer it is here, the less I think of it as a new purchase. It has been a genuinely good fit for our home.
