The Verre de Mer Chandelier features a cascading shade made from sand-blasted glass, hand-cut from recycled bottles to evoke the look and texture of seaglass. Each piece is individually attached to the round metal frame, which is finished in a contemporary gold for a warm contrast. The four layers of glass catch and diffuse the light from a single bulb, creating a soft, ocean-inspired glow.

Busy Wednesday night, this chandelier feels especially natural in the central part of the house. I had already decided I wanted a 1-light version, so that detail helped narrow the choice.
