Natural Capiz shell and wrought iron in a Cupertino finish create a luminous circular pattern on the shades of the Regatta Round 15-Light Multi-Drop Pendant. Each cylindrical element has such a pleasing glow when light shines through the lustrous natural material. There is great artistry in achieving such a complex pattern, as each slice of shell has to be surrounded in metal and soldered into a frame once the metal circles are joined to each other. The canopy of this piece is luminous in a painted silver finish. This fixture is among Currey & Company's multi-drop pendant collection, which includes multiple configurations.

Friday relaxed coffee is when this pendant light feels most at home in the kitchen area. A few ordinary weekends made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one.

Having people over changed my opinion more than the first day did; when relatives came over for a weekend meal, the room felt ready without extra styling. When friends are over, it simply feels like part of the room. The space feels more complete while still feeling like our home. I am glad we chose something that fits the way we actually live.

Saturday dinner prep made me realize this pendant light had already become part of the breakfast area. I had already decided I wanted a 15-light version, so that detail helped narrow the choice.
