Bismarkia's large white chandelier was inspired by the noble Bismarkia palm, whose fronds are remarkably large. Marjorie Skouras, who designed the chandelier, has stayed true to her love of nature for this creation. Her passion for the Yucatan, the surroundings in which she lives, and through which she translates the flora and fauna into dynamic products in her studio, shine in this steel fixture covered in a crisp gesso white and white finishes. The spiky ornamentations that splay around the 13 lights bring immediate texture to a space.

A ordinary Tuesday night is when I appreciate this chandelier most in the room.

We picked this chandelier to finish a space that had always felt incomplete, and the space finally feels intentional. The 13-light configuration was one of the few specific details I had in mind from the start. The room still feels comfortable on ordinary nights and polished enough when people come over. It feels like a change that made everyday life in the space where everyone gathers better.

When Wednesday evening rolls around, this chandelier makes the main room feel less unfinished. On weekends, I notice it most when the dining room stays busy a little longer than usual. The longer this chandelier is here, the less it feels like a new purchase. It feels like a change that made everyday life in the dining area better.

A quiet Saturday morning is when I appreciate this chandelier most in the main room. I like that the dining area feels finished while still looking lived in. The overall setup feels considered now, but the dining room still feels relaxed.
