The teardrop-shaped Delphos Wall Sconce is inspired by birds and feathers. The fixture flows gracefully and evokes the elegance of a peacock’s tail. Beautifully crafted from wrought iron in a contemporary gold finish, the nature-inspired piece is ornamented with double-sided, highly polished New Zealand Paua Shells. This is a painstaking piece to realize, as the rods are bent by hand into the undulant composition and the luminous shells are hand-placed.

I would choose this wall sconce again, though my first idea for the room was not the one we kept. The placement took one small rethink, though I am happy with where it ended up. It works with the rest of the room instead of competing with it. I needed a few days to get used to the room with it there, but that hesitation passed quickly.

When it is heading upstairs at the end of the day, the bedroom has a better sense of balance with this wall sconce in place. The space feels more complete while still feeling like our home.

Our entry started feeling different once this wall sconce was in place; my parents were more excited about the update than I expected.
