With this flush mount in place, the entry feels finished without becoming too formal. A few ordinary weekends made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one. It has been easy to live with on ordinary days. The room feels better for having it there.

Friday calm cleanup is when this flush mount feels most at home in the upstairs landing. The overall setup feels intentional without becoming precious.
