Century Furniture Calliope Cocktail Table - Stone Top

I was trying to keep my sitting room comfortable rather than overly styled, and the piece fits that goal.

Here in the living room, morning and evening, this table simply works with how we actually live in this room. I was aiming for something that would work with what we already owned, and the result feels natural instead of staged.

I usually need time to warm up to new furniture, but this table made sense in my sitting room right away. I notice it without feeling like the whole room revolves around it. The overall effect in my sitting room is stronger than the individual piece looked on its own. It has enough presence to matter without making the whole room revolve around it. The end result in my sitting room feels like our home, only more finished.

For our main sitting area, this coffee table turned out to be a better fit than the more elaborate options I considered.
